For years now I have noticed when I am downloading content from various web sites the name Akamai showing up in the URL.  I remember Akamai as a content delivery offering in the early days of the dotcom boom but have not heard much out of them in recent years.  Imagine my surprise when I discovered they were not only still in business but now offering their service to all types of customers.

If your business leverages the Internet for information exchange between your organization and your customers, suppliers, partners or others, you need to look at what Akamai can do for you.  As more and more organizations look at using cloud based services the Internet is going to become a more congested place and the ability to move traffic efficiently across the Internet backbone will become a competitive advantage.  Perhaps the best part of Akamai is it is easy to do a trial to measure its effectiveness.  You have no doubt been using the technology for years and maybe not even realizing it,, why not try it for your own organization and see what it can offer.
